Unleashing potential—in people and organizations
Rysing Tide grew from a commitment to helping people and organizations realize what they are capable of achieving.
Since its founding in 2017, Rysing Tide has worked with organizations and their leaders including Microsoft, JPMorganChase, the U.S. Navy, the State of Washington, King County, Entrepreneurs’ Organization, International Justice Mission, RangeWater Real Estate, and Lakeside School.
That purpose continues to guide our work. Our team brings complementary experience in leadership development, business and brand strategy, culture, governance, operations, and executive leadership.
We work with businesses, nonprofits, and public-sector organizations facing different opportunities and challenges. Some are preparing for growth. Others are navigating change, strengthening performance, or building a healthier and more sustainable way to work.
We start by understanding what success means to you and what it will take to get there.
Leadership and organizations develop together
A leader may need to delegate more effectively, while their team needs clearer responsibilities. A strategy may establish the right priorities, while the organization lacks the capacity to deliver them. People may want to collaborate, while the way decisions are made keeps pulling them apart.
These connections matter.
We consider leadership, culture, strategy, structure, and systems together. That helps us identify where the work should begin and what else needs to support it.
Your engagement might focus on one leader, one team, or a specific organizational challenge. When broader support is useful, we connect the right capabilities around your goals.
Practical experience. A human-centered approach.
Our team members have founded and led organizations, managed functions, developed people, worked with boards, and navigated the demands of change.
That experience shapes how we work. We understand that decisions involve tradeoffs, capacity is finite, and a recommendation needs to work for the people putting it into practice.
Understand before prescribing
We listen to the people involved, explore different perspectives, and examine what is happening in practice. We want to understand the conditions behind a challenge before deciding how to address it.
Connect ambition with everyday action
Goals need support from clear decisions, useful habits, shared expectations, and practical systems. We help make priorities specific enough to guide choices and commitments clear enough to follow through.
Pay attention to what and how
Results matter. So does the way people achieve them.
We bring attention to trust, candor, inclusion, and accountability alongside strategy and performance. The aim is progress that strengthens the organization and the people carrying its work.
Build capability that lasts
We work alongside you to develop understanding, ownership, and confidence. Whether the engagement involves coaching, a consulting project, or an executive role, we help build practices your people can continue using as their needs evolve.
