We’re pleased to welcome Mike Hatzenbeler to Rysing Tide as a Strategy & Governance Consultant | Fractional CEO & COO.
Mike helps boards and leadership teams build a shared understanding of what success requires. He also steps into fractional executive roles to lead the work, strengthen organizational performance, and build capacity for the future.
Executive experience with a community purpose
Mike brings more than 40 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including over 25 years in executive leadership. He served for 22 years as President & CEO of PROVAIL before becoming Chief Operating Officer of Pioneer Human Services.
Across these roles, his work has connected organizational strategy with governance, operations, financial sustainability, and community impact. He understands the responsibility of making difficult decisions while keeping an organization’s mission and the people it serves in view.
Helping leaders move forward together
Mike’s consulting work is particularly relevant when a board and CEO need stronger alignment, strategic planning has stalled, or a leadership team is pulled between competing priorities.
His approach begins with careful listening and candid conversation. He helps leaders examine assumptions, clarify the outcomes they want, and agree on the decisions and actions needed to get there.
