COACHING · Leadership Development & Training
Build leadership skills. Make them everyday habits.
Leadership development creates value when people can apply what they learn to the responsibilities and relationships in front of them.
Rysing Tide designs practical learning experiences that help leaders communicate clearly, develop others, navigate change, and strengthen team performance. We connect relevant ideas with discussion, practice, and commitments participants can take into their daily work.
Give leaders practical support for the work they do
People often become managers because they are good at their work. Leading others introduces a different set of responsibilities—and those skills need attention and practice.
Experienced leaders also benefit from stepping back, examining established habits, and developing approaches that fit changing demands.
Whether you are equipping new managers, developing a leadership cohort, or bringing a team together, we help you focus the learning on the capabilities your organization needs.
HOW WE HELP
Develop capabilities people can put to use
Three connected areas of support
Equip new & emerging leaders
Help people make the transition from individual contribution to responsibility for others.
We work on setting expectations, delegating, giving feedback, and supporting development. Participants explore how their role changes when success depends on enabling other people to do good work.
Real situations make the learning tangible: preparing for a first performance conversation, clarifying a delegated task, or responding when a team member needs support. Participants leave with approaches they can practice and refine as their confidence grows.
Strengthen everyday leadership skills
Build capability in the moments that shape a team’s experience and performance.
Learning can focus on communication, self-awareness, decision-making, conflict, accountability, time management, or leading through change. We help participants examine their existing habits, understand their impact, and try different responses.
Interactive exercises and facilitated discussion give people a shared language. Practical application helps them translate that language into clearer conversations, more intentional decisions, and better support for their teams.
Tailor training to your team
Shape the content around your leaders’ responsibilities, experience, and current challenges.
We begin by understanding what participants need to do more effectively and what is making that difficult. Interviews, reflection, or an initial assessment can help identify the most useful focus.
The resulting experience may be a targeted workshop, a retreat, or a sequence of sessions with opportunities to apply the learning between them. Examples and activities reflect your context, so participants can see how the work relates to their own roles.
FROM INTENT TO PRACTICE
The Rysing Tide Leadership Agreements
Our Leadership Agreements turn leadership principles into practical commitments people can revisit in everyday work.
They address seven connected areas:
Change: recognizing when established habits need to evolve.
Communication: seeking clarity, listening carefully, and responding intentionally.
Systems & Processes: reducing ambiguity and creating conditions that support delivery.
Strategy: connecting direction with practical action.
Decision-Making: making considered choices and learning from their consequences.
Time Management: protecting attention and delegating with intention.
Team Management: developing others and building trust through clear expectations.
Participants explore what these commitments mean in their own circumstances and where their current behavior supports—or conflicts with—them.
The agreements can provide the focus for a standalone session or a recurring reference within a broader development program.
Design the learning. Practice it. Reinforce it.
We agree on the development priorities and design an experience that combines relevant concepts with reflection, discussion, and practice.
During sessions, participants work through realistic situations, consider different perspectives, and identify specific changes to try. They may rehearse a conversation, clarify expectations for a task, or examine how they would approach a difficult decision.
We also plan how the learning will continue. Depending on the engagement, this may include peer accountability, manager conversations, follow-up workshops, coaching, or practical tools for use on the job.
Participants can leave with:
A shared language for important leadership challenges.
Tools and prompts they can use in daily work.
Personal development priorities and specific practice commitments.
A plan for feedback, reinforcement, and continued learning.
Progress is considered through application: what people tried, what they learned, and what they need to adjust.
